My neck!  I tweaked my neck last week trying to look at the TV while lifting dumbbells.  Today, I tweaked it again doing the same thing.  I hope I didn't injure it too bad.

Rox lost.  Lakers played good D, good O, and the Rox can't compete with that.

Getting married this weekend, then I'm off to hawaii.

"Chuck Hayes will be key in this series"

Half of my prediction was right.  Now all I need is him to draw a charge on Kobe.  Brooks had the monster game I knew he could have.  Battier finally took advantage of Kobe's defense.  Artest's shots were not falling, but got a ton of open looks.  The one thing that bothers me is that half-court press - Brooks and Lowry/Wafer did not do a good job against it and even Scola had to help out with it.

Laker's did not show up yesterday - they probably went out partying the night before after they heard about Yao's broken foot.

Bynum spaced out, Fisher and Vujacic hiding their face, Kobe hungover, and Ariza snoozing.  If you didn't know the seeding, would you guess that the Lakers' are the #1 seed in their bracket by watching this series?

X is going good, starting the third week and feeling pretty strong.

Two weeks to go until the wedding.  Cannot wait to see everyone, party, and then get to Hawaii.

Shane "Bloodface" Battier

That was almost horror movie like:

Rox take game 1.  It's only one game, and the Lakers sucked big time.  Game 2 might show us if the Lakers are going to take us seriously.

Chuck Hayes will be key in this series.  Awesome D on Pau.  Plus his awesome charge taking abilities worked on Derek Fisher in that Jazz series two years ago.  Let's see if D Fish tries again.  Let's see if he can get a good one on Kobe, who will then knee and elbow him while on the ground:

Manny! Manny! Manny!

Thumbs up to Manny for putting the thunder fist on Hatton's jaw.  2 knockdowns in the first round - one from a punch so strong, that it was blocked and still knocked Hatton down for a 9-count.  Whoever's next, please believe the overwhelming power.

Thumbs down to Comcast for dropping the ppv feed when Manny was walking the tunnel.  Never came back on that night and I ended up driving to Hyp's place to watch the recording.  Comcast gets super thumbs down for leaving my dad high and dry with a house full of Pacquiao fans.

Rockets tonight at 9 super cool 30.  Thumbs down for the late start.

P90X - Done!

Wha what!  Now I can be on the P90X informercials ... hmmmmmmm maybe not.  My day 90 pictures look like infomercial day 30 pictures.  Either way, it was a lot of fun.

Okay, so can you get infomercial results?  It depends.  You need to be in pretty good shape to begin with (people should consider you very fit) or have been very fit in the past, and you need to be looking to lose weight.  I was losing weight to start off, but I noticed I would probably hit 120 if I kept at it.  My abs disappeared once I gained enough weight, even though my general body shape was getting better.  Having a 6 pack is like the badge of rippetude, so I don't consider myself ripped after these 90 days.  Getting ripped is all about watching what you eat.  You can do it - it's hard for some (like me, being Filipino), but it's possible.  If you watch what you eat, staying around or below 2000 Cal, and follow the program, I have no doubt that you can get to ripped infomercial status in 90 days (if you fit the first two items).  If you don't get ripped in 90 days, enjoy the results that you do get.  Unless your body got worse, I don't see how you can complain about the program.  If it takes you a few rounds to get ripped, so what?  People have annual gym memberships, and this one's only 90 days.  If you want, you can go P180X or P270X or even more.

Now that I'm done, I plan on doing it again.  This time I'll keep my diet the same throughout the program and keep the weights heavy.  When I started, I was maxing at 15-20 reps.  I need to keep that below 10, and for the whole program.  Also, I was eating about 1800 Cal to start and switched to 3000 - this time I don't plan on counting calories.  I'll try to get 4 meals in, and try to stay away from outrageously oily foods, but I'm not going to analyze everything.

On to the stats and pix!

  • Weight/BF:
    • Day 1: 135.8/10.4
    • Day 90: 147.4/12.3
    • Min weight: 131.2
    • Max weight: 148.2
    • So there's about an 11 lbs difference with a 2% gain in BF %.  The min/max is different by 17 lbs!
  • Biceps (R/L):
    • Day 1: 13.25/12.5
    • Day 90: 14.0/13.5
    • Almost 1 inch gained on both arms.  Still 1/2 inch difference between the right and left arm.
  • Waist:
    • Day 1: 28.5
    • Day 90: 28.5
    • Stayed the same with 11 lbs gained!
  • Hips:
    • Day 1: 35
    • Day 90: 35.5
  • Quads (R/L):
    • Day 1: 20.25/19.5
    • Day 90: 22/21.5
    • Almost two inches gained on both legs.  That must be where a lot of the weight went to.
  • Chest:
    • Day 1: no measurement
    • Day 90: 38.25
    • I don't take chest measurements because I feel like I can't get the same measurement twice (breathing, different measurement points, etc.)  I just took the day 90 for the heck of it.
